The paintings were completed before he became a resident here in May of last year. He no longer has any desire to paint, but he has done a lot of pencil drawings.
You either love the profession or not. There can be no halfhearted efforts.
A lot of the person you knew and love may still be there.
For families, it's a grieving process. They are losing the person they used to know. They need security and reassurance. We try to make the situation as positive as possible. Families become as big a part as the resident himself.
