Typically, maybe one or two a month over a year. To see eight in two weeks is pretty unusual.
They are normally in the Southeast, a wooded swamp bird, but there are some in southern Minnesota.
And just the fact it hasn't been seen in so long, and we didn't expect to see it again.
There might be lots more, or there could be nothing until the end of May. That's what makes it exciting. You never know what you'll find.
