We're going to train progressively toward the end of the year. Last year we ran well for most of the season, but when it came to nationals we had our worst race of the year. We'll make sure we're ready at the right time this year.

We don't have as much depth as we've had in the past. Everyone will have to stay healthy, but we expect to do well.

We're not letting up or tapering for this meet. It's only a 5K, the shortest race we run all year. We're looking to get a nice group together at the front for an up-tempo workout.

We're a little banged up right now with some injuries to key runners. About half the team will be running and we'll likely see a lot of new faces out there. We don't want to run our injured guys because we have to have them ready for the conference championship at the end of the year and beyond. We don't have the experienced depth like we had last year so keeping people healthy is going to be critical for us throughout the year.
We want to get as many of those T-shirts as we can.

We've done it the last several years and it's a lot of fun. There's a lot of running through the woods, some strategy and we see who is aggressive on the team. Those are some of the little things we take from the experience.

We're really looking for someone to bust loose. We have quite a few guys who were right on the edge of being all-MAC last year, and we expect them to do well this year.

We've got our work cut out for us. We've got to get some guys healthy, and we need more depth. We were hoping for a little more in the opening meet, but you can't always expect the best.
