We have Sodje back next week so that is a boost, Phil Stamp will be back training he's suffered with a virus the last week so he will be looking at two weeks to be available for selection. We'll have a look at the situation next week but bringing in a player on loan is an option.

It was a little bit of a itchy game, there was a few tackles going in but he dealt with most of it positively and correctly and that was a crucial decision. I have to praise him for that.

He wanted to continue as assistant manager, but we had to put the good of the club first, and to that end he took over the youth set up; I felt he had all the qualities needed to make it a success.

He'll be expected to come in on Monday morning and bust his neck to get it out of his head and get on with his job. We shall see what develops this week.

I thought the lads were fantastic in the second-half. At half-time I wanted to know who could scrap, and they all responded well.

We have Akpo Sodge back so that gives me options, but I have a difficult situation in regards bringing in a player on loan as top clubs want the players to play and we cannot guarantee anyone will play in our team, so that causes a potential problem.

We have to make the most of it. We will adapt to the conditions and be prepared to play more direct than usual if necessary.

The players think it was two lost and I think that it was one gained. I think it was one gained because eleven players didn't turn up - we had five. W e had five in the first half and we might have had five in the second half at times. However they're kids and because they're kids they probably aren't aware that things are not going particularly well but they still kept going forward.

We had planned without him in the morning and were set to use Clarke as a striker. But Lafferty turned up wanting to play, which shows a great attitude.

Performance wise there are no complaints from me. We created plenty of chances after playing some good football, but couldn't take them. A couple of wins in our next two matches could change the picture dramatically.

It's all down to the players to make the changes work. We were lethargic in the first half, so we needed to switch things around. I was pleased with the response and we deserved to win for our second half performance.

It's another massive setback for the lad. He's had terrible luck but hopefully his recovery will go according to plan and he'll be back sooner rather than later.
