basketball division guys hoped minute played poise possession three type
We started three guys who haven't played a minute of Division I basketball in this type of environment, and I thought they showed a lot of poise right from the beginning. I thought we competed on every possession right to the end of the game, which was what we had hoped we would do.
four running uphill
When you?re running uphill like that (it?s tough). When we got it down to four I called time-out because we were exhausted.
came close energy entire running time uphill
We didn't play with a lot of energy in the first half. We were running uphill the entire game, and every time we came close we made a mistake.
bit gradually rhythm struggling
You have to just gradually get your rhythm back when you're struggling a bit as he has been.
boards control dominated game held hope inside team
We're an inside-oriented team right now, so I think if we don't control the inside the way that I hope we would, then I think were going to have trouble. I think we've at least held our own with them on the boards in the first two games. The first game we actually dominated them on the boards.
missing quick shots today transition
We were able to get out in transition and get some quick baskets. I have always said missing shots can be contagious, but today making them was contagious.
entire guys lead overall played
We didn't let their other guys get going at all. Overall I thought that we had a comfortable lead the entire game, and that's because of the way our guys played on defense.
defensive offensive season simply
We need to come out aggressive, not only on the defensive end but on the offensive end as well. If we don't, our season will simply come to an end.
college consistency disjointed easy
We've been disjointed all year. We've had injuries, suspensions, and it's not an easy thing in college basketball, or anywhere, to not have consistency - and we really haven't had that.
best chance coach difference group hardest kids plays stays trying whatever win
There's not a whole lot of difference between any of the teams. I think the group of kids that plays the hardest and stays into whatever their coach is trying to do has the best chance to win it.
active best both ends game nice played
This is the best game he's played in college. He was very efficient, very active on both ends of court. He did a real nice job.
