Our position has not changed. Bulgaria is not going to participate with financial contributions to this fund. We are not going to pay any compensation, because our medics are innocent.

For Bulgaria, this case closed with the court decision in Rome in March 1986.

The nurses are innocent, and all proposals for paying compensation or any other form of recognizing guilt are unacceptable.

For the moment we do not have a reason for optimism, because we have yet to see what the court will rule on Sunday.
