We're just now getting it. Maybe we're late bloomers or something.
It was definitely touch-and-go for a little while. There were a number of band summit meetings trying to save the record. The creative process this time, not to sound cliched, went through peaks and valleys. And without the valleys, you can't appreciate the peaks.
That happens when you become a father and have seen the things Raine has seen. That changes you as a person and you can't not bring that to what is that you do.
They could have done better. There's so much good music.
It's really the most unified in spirit. Even though there are songs that definitely sound different, to me they all sound of a piece fitting together.
