We applied for the Small Community Air Service Development Grant. I don't want to say it failed; we just were not chosen. There are quite a few more airports that applied, and they only awarded 23 this year.

I want to move right away on the possibility of leasing land to build hangars. That involves private funds, and it makes it less likely that a client is going to leave.

I know we have been awarded monies to buy a new plow truck. The figure is $393,000, which is a pretty good chunk of change. That's 95 percent grant funded.

I'm just looking forward to working with this board and working with the community to further advance the airport. It is an integral part of the economic puzzle in our area. We have no problems, they're just challenges.
