I think it's what he wants. He knows he's an important option on offense and knows what we expect. I'm sure he doesn't think we've been harsh about it.
Everybody knows Shaq and everybody knows that Shaq always says that when the playoffs come, he'll be there. So we weren't really worried. We knew after he missed 18 games that it was going to take him awhile to get back. But I think right now is the right time for this team, that around the break time, he has a chance to get back in shape and get his form back.
Nobody knows that they're going to be Champions - you have to work to get there.
Anybody who comes into Miami, if they sign on the dotted line then they'll understand what we're trying to do here. I have no problem with it at all. He knows we're about winning right now.
He's shooting shots he knows he can shoot on post-ups on Shaq and drives from me. He's just in the rhythm. He's also going to the bucket and finishing strong. Hopefully, he and Antoine (Walker) continue to play the way they have and we'll be pretty good offensively throughout the playoffs.
The main thing he's added is his confidence. He knows he's the best on the floor almost every night and that takes him a long way.
Just the right place at the right time. Some nights are like that. I was able to get in a couple passing lanes and get some picks, but for the most part, it was just being in the right place at the right time.
I take the blame for it. I did a bad job on him.
Having him back there as a force willed us to victory on the defensive end. We're lucky to have him, especially with Shaq being in foul trouble. We're lucky to have the best backup center in the league.
He's a big guy and anytime he gets injured it's a lot of weight that goes down on it. We have enough firepower that when one guys goes down the other guys can step up.
He's a guy I looked up to and went to when I didn't understand something. Eddie told me the way. When he left, I called and thanked him for showing me the way, showing me the ropes.
He's a lot stronger. Last year he lost weight and I think that took a toll on him at the end of the year because he didn't have the strength to fall back on.
He's got, like, two suits, ... and they're terrible. I just keep it real with him.
He's got his legs back and he's finishing his plays. He's more active getting deep and we're looking for him and finding him.
