Emergency supplies have been sent to the refugees including rice and noodles, and they will be treated by paramedics as needed.
We have built an emergency bridge, opened public kitchens and medical services and coordinated other relief efforts.
We have found 29 dead bodies so far. About 9,300 villagers must stay at refugee tents because their houses were destroyed by the flood and landslide.
Possibly the flooding was triggered by the cutting down of trees higher up the hill. But we don't know yet for sure.
