Lindstrom's time (17:03) on the challenging 3.1-mile course was the best individual Anacortes time and placement in the past several years. He earned a medal as a top-20 finisher.
He's a very smooth runner. He's technically sound. In my 36 years of coaching he's one of the better ones I've had to arrive on the scene.
Dan Lindstrom and Adam Page combined to put us out in front of a field of 30-plus teams. It was a lead we eventually gave up, but the team effort was solid throughout.
That was a great learning experience for him. It's kind of been driving him.
This was a long and challenging week for Seahawk runners. The schedule becomes a little kinder and gentler the rest of the way, as we work as a team for some consistent across-the-board improvement of times.
