Mead works very slowly. Sometimes a grape ferment will basically be done in a week or so, whereas the mead you see out there has been bubbling for months, and it will keep bubbling for months.

Mead is probably the original fermented drink. You hear of ambrosia, the nectar of the gods. That's mead, or fermented honey.

He got some honey from us and made mead. He was trying to make still mead (no bubbles). Accidentally, after he bottled it, he thought it was done, but it started to sparkle.
