It was the second time he had done something like that, and Holland decided he can't be a substitute any more. They can find something else for him to do, but not that.

Any time an adult is in a teaching role, they're held to a higher standard. Obviously, Holland thought that wasn't an appropriate way for one of their employees to be acting in school.

The bottom line is that if we had any idea that the teacher had any inappropriate behavior in his past, he would not have been hired here. That's the reason for the questions ? to flesh out problems in the past.

They're doing the work that a student would do in an honors course. Putting that label on it makes it more valuable to the student. It shows they are doing more than the other students ? it gives them that edge.
