We knew they hadn't been going to their bench as much, but all their players are dangerous. They obviously had a lot of reserves step up against us. Their depth makes them a much tougher team.

The positive was our team play was further ahead. I thought our guards played the way they should have. They played like I expected since they're the veterans.

We told the team everybody is going to have to pick it up a little. It's an opportunity for someone to come in and make plays.

We're trying to do a lot of offense early. The fall provided that opportunity because of the new NCAA rules. There are still things that we are doing with this team, such as moving players into new positions. In the early part of practice, we are trying to see where these interchangeable parts can be used in our motion offense.

We exercised patience, and we pushed the ball and it surprised them at times. We made some big shots when needed to.

We executed the game plan. At times we had to be patient and at times we had to push the ball and we hit big shots. I'm very proud of our kids.

My experience is I wouldn't trust anything anybody is saying. My hope is that we're going to get many, many teams in the tournament.

I felt like the schedule had a chance to hurt us if we didn't take it the right way. At the end of December you could see the team growing and gaining confidence.

athletes challenges fact game last night playing presents saw similar styles totally
Every game presents different challenges but the fact that they have similar athletes to A&M -- we saw some things last night that will be the same. It's not like you're playing two totally different styles in 48 hours. Now that can be a big challenge.
