I break the season down in three different parts. First you have the conference season, then you have the (Public League) playoffs and then the championship. Playing Hyde Park in a conference game is the start.
Our kids really played well in that game against Lane Tech. When were down (6-0) at halftime, but they didn't give up.
Our kids just never gave up. They were confident they were able to come back and get the win.
We feel we are ready. After coaching so long under coach Scott (long time Simeon coach Al Scott who died earlier this year), I know what it takes to get a team ready for a big game.
I'm really proud of the way our team has played this season. They went out and did everything we have asked them to do.
The kind of intensity we had against Lane Tech, we'll need once again against Hyde Park.
