There are things we can build on and have a really good football team, ... The kids coming back on the plane last night - there were no heads down. I think they were proud of their effort. They knew they were in the ballgame until the very end, that they had a chance to win. I think they'll be an easy group to rally to get ready to play an unbelievably good Wisconsin team.

You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.

It really shows what kind of kids we have in our program, ... I'm really pleased with what our kids did relative to getting together right away, with Jesse Holley being the leader of that group, to raise money. That is absolutely terrific.

We've got a schedule that makes sense. We have marquee teams on the schedule. It's one I think is very workable and one our players will enjoy, our fans will enjoy. It allows us to compete in the ACC and have a chance to win some non-conference games, but at the same time challenge our program and go to some places with great football tradition.

We're going to have to do a great job shifting gears in getting ready for something that's absolutely, totally different from what we've faced, ... It puts pressure on everybody. It is another form of the triple option. The forms of deception that they have with their form of the triple option is unique. It was last year, and it is this year.

Obviously when you get into the season, the fans are taking it one game at a time, too. But all of a sudden, here it is. Here it is.

One of the things we wanted to do (against Tech) was use the clock when we got over the ball so we could determine which one of the defenses had been employed against us, ... We did not get to the ball quick enough, and that's something we've got to do better next week.

We had two runners out there that hadn't played football at the (NCAA) Division I level in a long time, ... One never and the other one hadn't played in two years. So that's probably going to take some live action to get into the flow of things.

We played with a lot of emotion, then got kicked in the stomach in the third quarter. It's a tough one.

The penalties, I've never seen so many flags fly in a game, ... That was certainly different than what I'm accustomed to being around. Obviously, one was thrown on me, and I'm very ashamed of that.

We had one blip where we did not have the emotion necessary to play this game at a high level. What's important is that the team regrouped, the leadership came through, and the players came back.

Well, our two-game season is over. The opener and the home opener and we're 0-2. That's the bottom line.
