We ha some good things happen, and we had some sub-par performances. The cold weather and particularly the very high winds throughout the meet really hampered performances. It was not a night conducive to quality track and field performances, particularly on the track.

We had a lot of good things happen today.

We need a break. We're fatigued as a team, and we're hurting. We had more kids in the training room than in practice (Monday). It'll be kind of like a breath of fresh air to have a weekend off.
drake emphasis forward fun kids looking rub run shoulders time weekend
I've said it before that the Drake Relays are not the end of the world. It's a fun weekend for the kids, but we don't put that much emphasis on it. The kids get to go down and rub shoulders with the big time and run at the Drake facility. They're looking forward to it.

There were many places where we could have picked up those two points that beat us, but by the same token, we had many competitive performances.
good hopefully next solid training weather week
Hopefully we'll get some good weather and get some good, solid training in over the next week and a half.
