We practiced defending the last two days and the boys executed exactly the way we planned. We really haven't been playing that well lately but this definitely makes us legit.

They (Capital Christian) are a very good team and even though they scored on us in the second half, we still held them way below their season average (70 points a game). Our defense was great again.

Don't give me too much credit. We don't win that game if the players don't make plays.

They're a one- or a two-pass team and (the shot) goes up. They weren't going to change their character, especially when they've been that successful.

Before the game, I put down on paper that I thought we'd win 43-29 or maybe 46-29. That we only scored 37 is a credit to their defense.
