Mac and Kelsey, they can stroke it pretty well. They're very confident shooters, as any good shooter should be.
It's the giving season, and we were in a giving mood tonight. We had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, but we missed shots, missed chances, and we just couldn't do it. Give credit to Incarnate - they deserved it.
We were right there, and we had our chances. If we had made our free throws, it would have been an entirely different story. It was frustrating.
It'll be nice going into a game as the underdog for once.
I wish the state would go ahead and seed the playoffs so that we wouldn't be meeting this early. We'd likely have to play eventually, but to see one team go home really before its time doesn't seem right.
This weekend is a great benchmark for us. We like seeing what's on the other side of the state, and it gives us two weeks to get our act together for the postseason.
I don't want to have a great record and give our kids false expectations that they are good when they haven't played anybody. It's healthy to go out and play against the best, and we're lucky enough to have chances to do that.
