Those guys are the future. I just wanted to go out there and do good. If you can do it, it gives you that much more motivation to play in the big leagues and do well at the big-league level.

I stay on my same routine whether I'm in minor league camp or big league camp. Nobody is going to change who I am. Nobody is going to change my persona. I am what I am. That's what I'm going to be, whether I'm here or on the other side.

You've still got to have patience. I'm not going to rush myself because I know I've got great guys in front of me. I know they're going to do the job and I'm just going to wait my turn.

It's a step forward. You can see your minor league career progressing. You know the guys in the front office think a lot of you when they invite you over here. It's a good thing all around to be around guys who know the game. It's a step.

It's not important for me to just get a taste at the big league level. I want to be there for a long time.

It's right there. The door is right there. I can touch it. All I've got to do is walk in.

It was pretty easy back then. I can't do it anymore, though.

I realize what's going on here and that the game is a business. It's not frustrating. You know what you're here for. Getting to face some of the top pitchers in the league (in spring training), you have to try and take advantage. It's an experience not a lot of (players) get. In my case, I just want to come and get better.

By the time I rounded third, I saw they all walked off. I was the only one running. When I came around third, I knew what time it was.

The front office is pushing for you to be in the big leagues, but you have to put all that stuff aside. We're living for now and we've got to do this now. You have to work.
