I always wanted the attention that my uncles got from my grandmother, ... She went to their games, and she'd come home saying how well they played. I think I craved that same attention that they were getting. I think that's what drove me to want to be a special player.

Chad has shown that he can play in this league, and that's the most important thing. Any time you go out, at this level, compete and put together the type years Chad has put together, there's nothing left for him to prove to anybody.

I'd think most guys don't think they need this. But it is what it is. If it goes well and everything works out, then we needed this. But if it doesn't, we'll all be wondering what all this work was supposed to accomplish.
