Our all-out focus is on defeating the state of Massachusetts constitutional amendment. We're trying to defeat it in the Legislature so it never gets to the ballot.

Clearly, 2,000 people can't all be stupid, which is what petition organizers keep saying. This process was flawed from the beginning, driven more by extreme politics than by the grassroots. We know we can't stop the petition from advancing to the Legislature, but this is wrong, plain and simple.

The importance of media attention from an awareness and educational standpoint has been a very good thing. It alerts users to what may have happened and the destruction that could have occurred.
