There is a lot to look at when you are serious about transformation. You look at everything you've ever done, every circumstance you've ever been in, cleaning up everything in your past. Reconciling, forgiving others, forgiving yourself. It's a lot of work, actually.
As you get older, you have more and more layers of experience to forgive, more layers of heartbreak, more layers of what you might think of as failure.
Forgiving the past means remembering the love there, and releasing all the rest as the illusion that it really was.
Spend the next few days preparing for the year ahead: Forgive everyone, let go of everything, let God take charge. Amen.
The past doesn't determine your future unless you carry it with you into the present. Forgiving yourself and others, you free the universe to begin again at any moment.
To forgive is merely to remember only the loving thoughts you gave in the past, and those that were given you. All the rest must be forgotten.
We are not here to fix, change or belittle another person. We are here to support, forgive and heal one another.
