I feel real good about this season. But the real goal of the season is to obtain as many wins as possible.

My past few weeks have been absolutely amazing after being named to the Canadian Olympic Team and now getting signed to this extension. I couldn't be happier and am very motivated to fulfill the expectations that come with a contract like this.

We could have won all three games, no doubt. We led in the first period of Game 1 and the third period the last two games. We could have had them, but we didn't. Down 3-0, I don't care what the odds are against us. It's been about this group in here and what we can do.

We could hang our heads and feel sorry for ourselves or win four straight.

This whole year has been set up for nothing but success and getting better every game. But there's a lot of work left for what we want.

But looking back, we can point to that time in our season. We came together a little bit.

We've been on coast mode for a couple weeks, and it caught up with us. I think we remember how hard it is to win, to put ourselves at these high expectations. It's a big difference to go out and do it. We haven't been doing it.

We've had some bad starts, but that was our worst all season. To be unprepared like that, knowing what was coming, there's absolutely no excuse. Soft, sloppy play has been the characteristic of ourselves. We've just been getting by and pretending, and it's finally catching up with us.

Those points put us pretty much where we are, away from the pack that's battling for the playoffs.

We certainly deserved a better fate. You want to close those kind of games out, but a bad bounce is all it takes. We've put ourselves in a position to be close to the top of our division by not letting things that we can't control bother us.

We did a better job of keeping the puck tonight. We did a real good job of keeping the puck away from them.

Body healthy or not, it's my job to give 100 percent determination to keep that puck out at all costs.

Army and the organization went out on a limb. Even though we haven't accomplished our goals in recent years, it's a great feeling about the confidence and belief they have in me.

There's no more excuses, and that goes for myself.

There's nothing really that I'd do differently. But you just have to make those saves at that time -- especially short-handed.

The teams we're scheduled to play are playing well, so they're great challenges for us, and I do like this kind of mini-series here. We haven't lost sight of what we need to do, getting ready for the playoffs. We know it's not going to start tomorrow, but we also know we can be as ready as possible. That's all you can do.

Somebody told me they were glad that we were back, and I told them I was glad that they were back, ... And I meant it. I had a great time. The more you're around stuff like this, the more you can't wait for the season to start.

And there's a lot of other goalies from Canada that deserve to be here. But we're here to make each other better and that's such a Canadian thing, we keep pushing each other and supporting each other this week.

That's what our leader on the ice does for us. We needed somebody to step up, and he did it. That was big for us.

You play it one game, one shift at a time.

They're fun, a great challenge. We've been fortunate all year. That opportunity to get that win is right in front of you.

They're a hard-working team. They don't have much talent but their goalie played great. He made some unreal saves. But we got the win and we're excited about it.

They haven't been as good as they should be for this organization.

It's just another game we found a way to win.

It's just the way we have to play. We believe. You're seeing an inspired team with an inspired belief in everybody. All we care about is that we won. We're going back to Dallas with a chance.

It's a big goal and that's what our leader on the ice does for us. We needed someone to step up, and that line is our go-to line.

It was devastating when we gave up those late goals in the other games. Tonight, our guys rose to the challenge. This is a small step to what we want to accomplish. It's gonna take some small things, but the belief is here and we have obstacles to climb.

It's a huge confidence for us. It's two guys doing it and carrying the rest of the guys on their back.

For me, it's saves that I can get. I have a grasp of what I need to do. I've got to play well in Game 3.

It's the way it's been for us in the series. The bounces haven't gone our way. We have to find a way to win Game 4.

It's going to be a big three days. It comes just in time to take one quick step back next week. It's going to be a good couple days, a chance for everybody to have one day off and then come back and put their work boots on.

It helps when you win the game. If you give a team a chance to win a hockey game, that's a good feeling. Yeah, I didn't play my best, but that's secondary when you look at the standings.

I think all nine of them have been different, whether it's getting bombed early and me getting pulled or a tight game like tonight. I mean, we have the confidence to come from behind, and that'll be big down the road ... but it's not the way you want to play this game.

He's the biggest name in the country and will be for a long time ... maybe forever. He is Canada to us.

All their top guys give the other players a lot of confidence. And they've got a lot of top guys.

Someone who plays hard every shift, it's pretty admirable for a young guy.

We can feel sorry for ourselves or we can put the work boots on and understand the situation and the reality of it all.

Seeing Ed Belfour have expectations higher than anyone else of him shows the kind of competitor he is. I would love to incorporate a high level of professionalism into my game.
