bronze definitely felt good mistakes nationals obviously olympic season sending skating standing strong though throughout year
I think we're very strong. This season has been complicated obviously because this is an Olympic year and there are injuries. But at nationals I felt even though there were mistakes throughout the field, we're definitely sending a strong team, especially with Evan, the world bronze medalist, and Johnny's skating well. I think we're in good standing going in.
happiness happy landed triple
I was very happy I landed the triple Axel tonight.
bit control doubling flip landing leg room run second swinging triple wild
Doubling the flip was a bit uncharacteristic as I haven't done that in over two years. I didn't run out of room for the second jump. My leg was swinging too wild and I couldn't control it enough for the second triple but that wasn't as important as landing the (triple) Axel.
enjoy experience likely position
I very likely would not be in this position had I not been working with her and had her support. Same thing with my family. They were all able to enjoy this whole experience with me.
assistant attending beat daughter fun leaders leaders-and-leadership team tournament
Lori Parker, one of our assistant team leaders here in Calgary has a daughter attending Kansas, who Bradley already beat this tournament so I had fun teasing her about that.
changing run system
The new system is changing the way you run through a program.
embrace great people support throughout
It's great to know that I have people in Peoria that embrace me and support me throughout my career.
beat fall mistake olympic twice until
You can't usually fall twice and still make an Olympic team. Until I went down, though, I'd been doing very well. I just told myself that one mistake probably wouldn't beat me.
compete life skating whether
Skating will always be a part of my life whether I am skating to compete or skating for recreation.
award confident medals olympics point skate thinking
I'm confident that I'll skate my best. I'm not really thinking about medals at this point just because the Olympics is an award in itself.
comparing mind olympics point program
In my mind I am comparing the Olympics and this event. Doing the (triple) Axel was an important point in this program for me.
improve motivated motivational performance skate strong tends wrong
I tends to be more motivated by the things I do wrong than when I skate well. I always want to improve even when I do have a strong performance in competition.
felt forgotten
I don't think I ever felt like the forgotten man. If anything, I felt self-exiled.
medals national prove win
I didn't set out to prove I could win national medals from Peoria, Illinois. But that's where I live, and everything I need is there.
