HP's latest earnings are a Valentine to shareholders, and to Mark Hurd and his team. Hurd has done a good job focusing on the basics, getting costs and expenses down and morale up.
Schwartz takes the helm of a ship apparently departing a long stretch of turbulent waters and picking up speed. If he's a smart leader, he'll keep it going in its current directions and build upon its current momentum ... and Jonathan Schwartz is nothing if not very smart.
Schwartz is too smart to mock about with a process that is heading in a good direction. I can't imagine that Schwartz' agenda involves changing anything significantly at Sun.
CA has got to be breathing an incredible sigh of relief. Anything that keeps CA at arm's length from legal proceedings is good for CA and good for its customers.
