We found our focus during the Salisbury week and started steamrolling from there. This season took our program to another level. We have high hopes for next year because we have a bunch of outstanding players coming back.
We made a lot of mistakes and have to learn from those mistakes. They converted four fourth-down conversions. We have to play better in those crucial situations if we are going to keep playing for the next 10 games and hopefully further.
Several defenders had an angle on Larry, but he simply outran them all.
Bryan knows our scheme inside and out so he makes all the defensive calls. When the game is on the line, he always steps up an does something special.
I don't think it was intentional. But it was a good step-and-a-half after the play.
Larry is one of the fastest players you will find in Division III. He's a threat to go all the way every time he touches the ball. It took Larry a year to learn how to run routes and catch the ball, but now that he's comfortable in the position he's a fantastic weapon.
Mario is great at reading and getting to the ball. He never makes mistakes. He's very much like a linebacker for us.
Mario can really lay the wood. If you cross his path with the football, you are going to get stuck. He inspires other players with how hard he hits.
We certainly did some great things in the first half. Then we took a drive 70 yards for a TD right off the bat (to start the second half). It was huge because they came back hard and our kids fought, too.
It was a horrible trip. It's a lot further than what it looks like on the map.
Anthony is a tremendous leader because his work ethic is contagious.
Anthony has great speed for his size and is an excellent technician. He could run by blockers or beat them with technique.
It was a great season. We won more games and advanced further in the playoffs than ever before.
I'm going to be honest with you, we were sloppy. We were on the offensive line, we were sloppy in the secondary and they're going to think they can take advantage of it. We've got to correct it.
I know the stats may not have said it, but that's as good as we can play on defense. Sundays usually aren't a real fun day around the office but watching that defense and those defensive tackles play (on film) makes it fun.
