bad competitor force framework game last monday national night offense remember talent time win within
The thing about Brett is he is such a talent and such a competitor that he is going to do everything within the framework of an offense -- and sometimes out of it -- to win a game, especially on a Monday night. I can't remember the last time he had a bad Monday night game. You are going to have to force him to have a bad game in the national spotlight.
account brought built extra guy job last pick safety tight time
We did a lot better job scheme-wise. The last time the protections were not built in to account for the extra guy they brought down. This time they were built in. If we didn't pick it up we had a tight end or safety do it. We were a lot more prepared.
disaster football helps recipe run smith steve
We couldn't run the football and that's a recipe for disaster for this football team. We need to run the football effectively and that helps to get Steve Smith in the game. It's like if we can't do one, we can't really do the other, unfortunately.
amazing close doubt father looking rest talk tough
That was probably one of the most amazing performances I've ever been around, no doubt. It's still tough to talk about. Looking back, I don't know if I could do that. What he was going through, his mindset, and how close he was to his father and the rest of his family.
eating extra feeding great hard hitting holes running
I don't know what he's been eating for breakfast, but we need to keep feeding it to him because he's making some great cuts, hitting the holes hard and running through the extra man. We're going to need more of the same.
earn
I don't care. I really don't care. You've got to earn respect, so we'll try to go out there and earn it on Sunday.
answered call came effect gives glad lying people says stuff team
I'd be lying to you if I said that didn't have an effect on us. We're not a team that says that kind of stuff and gives people things to think about. We're just glad we came out and answered the call today.
chance excited
On offense, we were excited about the chance to come back.
eight excited felt giving job last points scoring shot three
Scoring three points and giving up eight sacks wasn't going to get the job done. As an offense, we were excited to come here and get another shot at these guys. We felt we were better than we showed last time.
mind picture
I have a picture of Brett Favre in my mind, and it's always going to be the same.
heard loud played quiet scenario sure tool ways
We've played in a lot of loud places. I've heard this place is especially loud, and with this scenario I'm sure it's going to be ear-splitting. But there's always ways to quiet down the crowd, and we want to get to that point. Certainly, we'll have to use every tool at our disposal.
beginning brought discipline talked wish
It's just discipline and some of the things we talked about at the beginning of the year. But I really wish you wouldn't have brought it up because we don't like to talk about it too much. You know, I don't want to jinx us.
ball battles beating coming ears heck job ourselves pin situations speed win
They did a heck of a job getting off the ball on us. They were beating us off the line. When you do that and you have speed rushers coming off the line, you really don't have much of a chance. We have one-on-one battles we have win and we also have to put ourselves in situations were they can't pin their ears back.
blocked game played ran threw
We ran better, we threw better, we blocked better. We just played a better game this week.
