I believe that this budget has failed to deal with the single most important issue facing this country. And as a result, everything contained in this Budget, and all of the discussions we embark upon are really moot.
Kiss is getting its flour supplies from NFM today and our operations will continue as normal. I've been told that NFM workers have gone back to work and negotiations are to continue.
We have been getting sugar, but not the amount we have paid for already.
There is also a lot of construction and importation of foreign food items that is pulling the foreign exchange out of the system.
They're still moving sugar off the port so we're keeping our fingers crossed. All parties involved are working together to get the sugar off the port, however not as fast as we would have hoped.
Buy local, grow your own food because there is little we can do to change the price of oil.
