We're trying to incorporate student control by students. They can take care of the small disciplinary actions. Next year we'll try to work out a hall monitoring system and maybe even work at school sports events.

The kids are usually pretty quiet once we get to the jail. They go on a tour of all the major areas of the jail. They see the cell blocks, the communication center, the courtroom and a few other places.

The type of kid we recruit is one who can be assertive and enjoys stricter regimentation. It's also a kid who is looking to put in extra time to really help out.

All the bids were well within our projected probable cost.
