He (Doan) is a very good man, a very good policeman but it was our opinion that other candidates were more qualified. They said send us ... the best candidates of that group. That's why we did that.
I can't see why you could ever turn this down.
I'd like to see us do away with the primary.... As long as we make it easy enough so that people have the ability to run for office.
I don't believe this process was an open process.
