Though the Supreme Court had declined to admit my petition, it had stated, 'it is not the considered opinion against any particular community,' thus though the remarks were not expunged, they have been overruled by a Higher Court.
The response of the British government has been very correct. I am satisfied with it.
I should think that after notice is issued and replies are heard and arguments put forth, the issue should take six months to a year to get resolved.
This might not exactly be the apology I had been seeking, but it is still a step forward. I will now wait for the outcome of my petition in the Pakistani Supreme Court.
I could go to the International Court of Justice, but, that would be going against my government. I will wait for the Pakistan Supreme Court judgement before deciding on my future course of action.
