I am in awe of the generosity and kindness of so many people and cities who are reaching out to provide us a home for this year's festival, the artists who are offering to perform and our fans and sponsors who are providing their continued support and patience during this difficult time.

Despite the past year's events and the uncertainty it has created in the city -- it is an honor to have the Peppers be the first act to sign on. I think it speaks volumes about the influence New Orleans Music and musicians have had on the world.

In the course of the past few weeks, the outpouring of support from not only the music industry, but from people from all walks of life, who want to come together to celebrate New Orleans has been tremendous.
