Mindy has been an outstanding representative of sportsmanship and the higher value of college athletics.
Mindy demonstrated incredible fortitude and responsibility by overcoming her Type 1 diabetes in order to play at a high level. In addition, she has been a role model in the classroom, earning GNAC Academic all-conference honors.
More than 1,200 (nearly 50 percent) players have made it to the Major Leagues. I don't think there is another league that can make that claim. In one average game, there are 30-plus Major League prospects.
We know (the next) rookies of the year are on those (AFL) fields, we just don't know who they are yet.
Those guys are exactly what this league represents. We get the 'next guys' who are going to be stepping up in major roles and contributing.
Apparently there was a huge miscommunication between the coaches in that even though we specifically told the basketball coach it was for this year, they had it in mind that it was for next year.
After that period of time, the numbers don't lie. The level of talent we've been able to showcase is pretty unbelievable when you think about it.
