We never thought this day would come. We were quite startled yesterday to hear they had a DNA match.
So as far as the homicide detective is concerned, that is the best you can get.
As the days turned into a year and then a decade, the family knew that no good detective work would ever be enough. It had to be DNA that was going to solve the case because there was nothing else.
There is no way that you can get actual justice, per se, because you can't have Stephanie's life back and trade Stephanie's life for this man's life, who has no value. And that to me is the only justice. And you can't have that.
