Why India would accept self-rule in Kashmir as it has been controlling large part of the disputed region.
For India there is a problem in Kashmir, but for Pakistan Kashmir is a problem.
Pakistan also understands that the situation is fast slipping out of its control. Islamabad's main liver militancy is also on its last leg in Kashmir.
The proposal to have self-rule in either side of Kashmir may forever remain a point for discussion in the back channel diplomacy between India and Pakistan.
