We were fortunate to come out on top; it could have gone either way. It is tough to come to Meridian and win. I just have to commend our kids, especially for their second-half effort.

No one thought, most people were thinking we'd finish about .500. To lose two guys like that, and we got off to a slow start, but we had 11 seniors on the team, the kids never gave up.

We've had good senior leadership. They've kept everybody positive and ready to work at the next practice to get better. The guys never quit. And they have learned how to play without a superstar. That took six, seven, eight games to get used to.

We knew Wayne County was quick on defense. They certainly won the turnover ratio. We missed two field goals early and that took some points away from us. We turned it over and our defense just got wore down.

We have been managing the racecourse now for nearly a year and I am delighted that following extensive work between Arena and DMBC we have finalised this planning application.
fair kids mental mostly open running stuff
It was mostly just mental stuff a little running. We've had a pretty fair turnout of kids that can get here. We're just kind of running an open group. We're not doing anything officially.
