I don't want to carry a weapon because if you carry a weapon you're likely going to be putting yourself in situations where you need it. I try not to do that. I got pretty smart and pretty used to knowing when to engage and disengage.
I think a lot of people want to know if they're with somebody who has a kid somewhere and owes 10 years of back child support, or filed for bankruptcy years back and just neglected to tell you. A lot of people don't know how to ask those questions. That's what I do.
My philosophy in this business is that bad things can and do happen to good people. So whether it's an auto accident or a marital problem or somebody just not telling you the truth, there are a lot of things that people hide from each other. There's a way to find those things out.
