He was trying to stick the landing, and that's what you want. He had just watched two teammates in front of him stick their landings, and he was going for it. He's a competitor, and he's been in this position before. What I'm most pleased is the way the team improved from district to this meet, and hopefully that will continue.

He has worked so hard and all the guys will tell you the same thing. Of course, to him he sees the other guys and wants to be like them, but he's done great, so that was inspiring.

This was a good start for us. We made a few mistakes and had some steps that cost us some points, but overall it was a good day. We put ourselves in position, but (today) is a brand new competition and anything can happen.

I thought that we did very well. Some of the team were competing a full optional program for the first time. Chris Moore really worked hard and was rewarded for it. It will be a test (today).

That was a lot of adversity, so that was big.

That's huge, pretty impressive. That doesn't happen very often. It's rare and obviously it was a compulsory meet, so he was kind of pushing the ceiling a little bit.

This meet is all about advancing to the next round. We have such a strong district that I think that every team is going to be able to make the qualifying mark.
