There are so many kids that I admire and have had the privilege of coaching. There have been such great parents and it has been an outstanding experience for me. The kids have all been respectful, good sports and the parents are very supportive. I have been very fortunate to have the experience of coaching at Lake Central.

What a difference she makes for their team. She can do so many things with the ball. It makes it a lot harder to defend them at half court.
adjust excellent
They had an excellent half-court trapping defense. We didn't adjust to them very well.
best looked team tough
I told them that they were the best 1-5 team in the state. They looked at me kind of funny, but we play a tough schedule.

It was all about the fact that they were all very athletic and understood their role. They didn't just block shots and take up space in the defensive scheme.

We had to play our best game and we did. We had to play our very best.

With what we had this year, I was hoping to end .500. When we were 2-6, I checked out schedule out and I said, 'I don't know if we can pull that off.' But our kids played their hearts out.

They are not going to take us lightly. We played our hardest and we have a great deal of respect for the entire East Chicago program. We have a long history with East Chicago and we're just going to try to survive our first game, then our next, then our next.

This is a good reward for all of their hard work and putting up with me in practice. The running, all of the stuff that they do in and out of practice, they earned this win.
