But Kipper made some big saves in the first -- we could have been down coming out of that first period. We were lucky to come out with a 1-0 lead. He made two or three big saves.

Everybody in this locker room is on his side trying to help him out. Hopefully he gets everything in order and is ready for the stretch run, because he's the guy we need in the lineup.

And I heard a few chuckles out there, but they definitely wanted to see it. I wanted to see it bad. It's nice to get it over with. No more questions.

Darryl has made it pretty clear. He likes the team we have in this room. He believes in the guys. That's why he brought all these guys in here.

It was a great pass. I don't know how Donovan got that one through. I had my stick on the ice, I didn't even see it coming, it just hit my stick.

I knew the goal was coming because the opportunities were coming. It's nice to get it over with, no more questions now.

I hit him and he fell down right on my head. It was more funny than anything else.

I just wanted him to be aware that that's the only (room on the ice) you're going to get. You've got five guys trying to hit you, then add four refs into the mix -- that's a lot of avoiding to do.

But I don't think it's on anybody's mind. What is, is staying in first position (in the Northwest Division) and winning every night. Trades are a part of the game, whether it's September or whether it's March.

You win a Stanley Cup, you want to be a part of it and I probably wouldn't have been that big a part of it if I stayed there. I wasn't playing that much and didn't really know how to deal with a coach like that (Mike Keenan) at the time, being 23 years old.

You have to keep a little bit extra fat on the body. The strength and conditioning guy is always all over me about it, but it seems to make guys bounce off me better.
