This is a case that never should have been brought. A lot of hate and ugliness was generated to not very much end. To sort of die like a whimper. We need to remember as a society that revenge is not always an answer.
There's not one piece of evidence that connects Dr. Al-Arian to this,
I just hope the government will decide there is some sort of resolution out there short of a prosecution.
The government itself has said you are free to praise groups that engage in terrorism as a means of achieving their ends, ... This case concerns Dr. al-Arian's right to speak, our right to hear what he has to say and the attempt of the powerful to silence him.
The government has not proven Dr. Al-Arian has done anything but speak.
the judge said he had nothing to do with the events of September 11, and the Justice Department has known that all along.
