Not providing a defense would impact our ability to recruit and maintain the ability to run this system.
Those are things that can be dealt with.
I'm convinced and quite comfortable with my decision to stay on the board and deal with any public attacks the mayor and city attorney want to throw at us.
I don't believe the city attorney can advise both city management and the pension system on the same issues.
