It was tough. He didn't give me any rhythm. Balls with no pace are tough for me. Other guys hit through the ball, but he spins the ball, and plays smart. I like to grind and he does too.

I'm not going to put the Australian Open in jeopardy so we'll try to fix it. I'll take tomorrow off and rest it a little, hopefully by Tuesday we'll have it fixed.

I'm really happy I can play like this after only two or three matches for the year. I barely made a mistake in the first set.

The calls were pretty bad today -- for both of us.

It's just a little pain in the Achilles, but you know it's tough to play when you are not 100%. I don't know exactly what it is, I got up with it and now it doesn't feel good. It always feels bad to give up, but it's just how it is.

This is where I finally got my title and played two finals here. I like going to the restaurants here. It's a nice relaxing tournament.
