He hurt his wrist swinging in the world games. We're not for sure where we're at right now. That's part of baseball. He could've gotten hurt here, too.
That's why getting some people up here is going to help. Maybe a couple power arms like a (Travis) Bowyer and maybe a (Francisco) Liriano will help take the pressure off as we go here into September, where we don't have to kill those guys.
It looks like we are going to go ahead and look into the possibility of getting this thing cleaned up and make sure we are ready for next year. We don't want to mess with that thing. He's pitched on it long enough.
Him leaving after (the first week) is a little difficult. You'd sure like to have him for the whole spring training, but that's just not possible.
He's very sure of himself. He's a very smart young man, and I'm sure that things like (White retiring) won't go by him. He'll push the issue as hard as he can. He'll get plenty of opportunities.
This is pretty neat. I'm sure getting back together for these guys is nice. It's a wonderful thing.
We know how much this means to the White Sox and what kind of race they're in. So we just want to compete as hard as we can and make sure we don't get accused by anybody of laying down.
I'm sure there'll be a lot of people talking throughout the year about Puck. You can bet that we won't ever forget him.
I'm sure hoping it's not going to be like that all year. That would be a tough thing to have to deal with. That's why you take precautions now in Spring Training, so once you start season everyone is healthy.
I'm sure he'll get votes. If he doesn't get votes, then the wrong people are voting.
I'm sure he'll come along and say he can hit. I don't doubt that a bit. If we need him to go out there later in the game, he'll go out there.
I'm sure Minnesota Twins fans are hurting. It's very painful right now. We all know where Puck's going to be: He's going to be up there whacking the ball in Heaven. So we're going to be OK.
We want to bring him along slowly. He can be a pretty dominating pitcher out of the bullpen the way we've seen him throw in spring training. And we could put him in situations where he can go out and not have too much pressure on him.
A lot of things got straightened out. It was a good conversation, ... Both parties learned a little bit about what each other is thinking and what's going on. It helped me. I'm sure it helped J.C. I learned a lot from him.
If everything comes back OK, then he will start hitting later in the week. Right now we're not quite sure where he's at.
It's a tough time for everyone. I'm sure Minnesota Twins fans are hurting. It's very painful right now. But the good thing is that we all know where Puck is going to be -- he's going to be up in heaven whacking the ball around.
I'm not going to expect too much of him. We want to take it nice and slow and not put too much pressure on him. I do believe he's going to help our team sometime this year, even if he starts the season in the minors.
I hope he doesn't get a start, because if he doesn't that means we're in the race until the end. But if we fall out of it, sure we'll take a look at that.
We need to make sure we're ready for next year for him. We don't want to mess with that thing. He's pitched on it long enough, and tonight he kind of tweaked it again.
Cuddy got better and better as the year went along last year, especially when we put him in the outfield. He relaxed a little bit. I'm sure he'll say no, but he seemed to do better there.
