I don't know what happened. I thought we were good to go. I thought we'd be in the playoffs. I thought we could win the division.
He has really good hand-eye coordination. There's no type of pitcher that really gives him trouble. And he always seems to put the ball in play.
It almost feels like they're taking over the clubhouse. I guess it's a good thing, because you're in a playoff race. Hopefully it's something that we all need to get used to. I'd much rather have this than to be .500 and playing out the season.
Probably in my dream we would have won all three. I was able to get in a pretty good groove and put some good swings on some pitches.
I really didn't feel like I was able to get any good swings off Garland all night, just had trouble getting anything timed. I was just able to get a pitch and stay inside of it.
The last few years, we've gotten off to some slow starts. This season, there's been much more of an emphasis on getting off to a good start, and we had a good approach towards that today. I don't think you can ask for a better home opener.
