Since different kinds of wild birds and chickens have this virus, we can be quite sure that this virus is endemic in our birds.
We need to have some time to investigate to be sure that this is a new virus and has the risk of human-to-human transmission.
With all the measures we have taken and all measures we propose, most likely we have adequate measures and the H5N1 virus only has limited transmission to poultry and to humans.
I have to say that on the evidence we have it's most likely that the avian flu virus H5N1 is already endemic in this region.
