I'm not going to put words in the employees' mouths. They've been on strike for almost three months. This is a hard decision.
This is a severe hardship on the families right here at school time. These people are economic refugees. They are having to leave to find work and they are skilled, so they can find jobs.
We're happy that Pemco is ready to go back to the negotiating table. Now that we are negotiating, there is no reason to continue the lockout. I urge them to get everybody back to work and sit down and do some hard bargaining for as long as it takes.
