I feel very welcome here. Jerry called me right after I got the job and told me he wanted me here in the spring to help out, and I appreciate that. I feel like this is where I belong.
I think players need a pat on the back but they also need a kick in the rear. They have to understand it's a matter of getting the job done.
You just have to be tough enough to do your job and put everything aside. You try to stay upbeat for the players' sake so that they are positive. You've got to make sure that they don't get down. It's not a lot of fun, but you do the best you can.
