I said, 'Yah, it's cold. But, we've had to adjust to a lot of changes. And if this is an opportunity for us to get more independent and save and get ahead, then we should take it.
It was still standing and a tree was on it, but it was flooded. Everything we had in there was ruined, our TV and all our furniture.
I think what this community has done as a whole is just really amazing. How many people would take a beautiful house like this, fully furnish it, add that home touch and the love that they put into this house for someone? That's amazing.
It's a tourist town and they have a lot of jobs, but it's seasonal. We got to try to go somewhere where we can actually afford to get a job and pay bills and not be struggling.
